About "The Revolutionary She"

The Revolutionary She is an ongoing public history project centered on the untold stories of women's experiences of the American Revolutionary War right here in New Jersey, as well as an exploration of how the echoes of the Revolution shaped women's lives in New Jersey in the Early Republic. Students in History of Women Honors classes at Middlesex College in Edison, New Jersey, work with New Jersey archival collections to identify and interpret documents related to this history.

This project has been generously funded by a FY 25 Curriculum Development Grant from The New Jersey Historical Commission
